Insurance Information
UNDERSTANDING YOUR DENTAL INSURANCE
Dental “insurance" can be an inaccurate term, as it does not guarantee compensation. Alternatively, dental benefit plans are more like savings or maintenance plans. We encourage each patient to make the most of their benefits plan.
Our practice accepts all PPO dental benefit plans and will submit claim forms to your insurance company on your behalf. We are out-of-network with all PPO plans.
Most insurance companies pay our office directly however, there are a few (including Delta Dental) that will reimburse you, as the patient, directly.
We do do our best to make sure that our patients receive the full benefits of their policies. We can generally estimate dental benefits reasonably well, but sometimes benefit plans do not cover as much as expected or may deny coverage for certain procedures. We are happy to submit a Pre-Treatment Estimate to your insurance company prior to any work being started.
Please understand that dental benefit plans are an agreement between you, the patient, [your employer] and the insurance company. Patients are responsible for any amount not covered by their dental benefit plan.
If you require assistance in planning for a co-pay, please make arrangements with us prior to your visit.
